Mississippi in the World
English Expo: Mississippi in the World invites participants into Mississippi’s rich legacy in literature and the arts and demonstrates how the humanities connect us to our communities and the larger world.
Join us for an immersive exploration into the world of English, including literature, writing studies, linguistics, creative writing, and film studies. Engage in interactive activities like filming scenes, creating movie posters, getting out of literary escape rooms, and hands-on creative writing stations and so much more. Delve into the magic of literature, especially Mississippi literature, ignite your passion for language, and discover the endless opportunities awaiting English majors!
Who's Invited?
9th -12th grade students from Mississippi schools. Full classes are welcome along with individual students.
What Does It Cost?
The event itself is free and includes a lunch for each participant, including chaperones (limit of 2). *Breakfast and transportation are not included.
