Dr. Kemeshia Swanson Named the 2026 MSU Humanities Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Dr. Kemeshia Swanson on being named the 2026 MSU Humanities Teacher of the Year!

This award is sponsored by the Mississippi Humanities Council and recognizes the scholarship and teaching of faculty across the state who have advanced the humanities in Mississippi.

Dr. Swanson will give a public lecture during the spring 2026 semester, and she will be honored at the MS Humanities Council Awards Ceremony in Jackson, MS.

We are honored to have Dr. Swanson as a colleague, and we are thrilled that our students have such an incredible educator and mentor in the classroom!
